Earth Day Speaker Series Highlights Air and Water Issues – Recordings Available

March 30, 2022 – The City of Laguna Woods will host two timely and thought-provoking speaking engagements this April to commemorate Earth Day 2022.

On Tuesday, April 19 at 9:30 a.m., Dr. Michael Gunson, retired Jet Propulsion Lab scientist, will speak on the topic of “Carbon Monoxide and Methane: The Good News and the Bad News.” Dr. Gunson will share information about satellite tools that are helping us understand the problem, as well as possible solutions.

On Thursday, April 21 at 9:30 a.m., representatives from the El Toro Water District, Santa Margarita Water District, and Trabuco Canyon Water District will speak on the topic of “Understanding Our Water Needs.” This will be a great opportunity to learn about water supply challenges, water conservation, and steps that are being taken locally to ensure water reliability.
