The Orange County Transportation Authority (“OCTA”), in partnership with California Department of Transportation (“Caltrans”), is studying potential alternatives to improve the Interstate 5 (“I-5”)/El Toro Road Interchange. While the I-5/El Toro Road Interchange Project is not a City project, the City is working closely with OCTA, Caltrans, and the cities of Laguna Hills and Lake Forest due to the project’s proximity.

The City is working with the Orange County Fire Authority (“OCFA”) on a potential long-term lease of approximately 0.32 acres of the 0.56 acre City Centre Park property for use as a new OCFA fire station. The new fire station would operate in addition to the existing Laguna Woods fire station on Paseo de Valencia.
